Our History
Our church was founded in 1973 as Pantertown Church of God of Prophecy by Roger and Carol Hyatt, dedicated Christians who wanted to create a welcoming space for all people to worship God.
After Pastor Roger passed from this life to be with the Lord, Roger's son, Brad Hyatt, was set forth as a Lay Minister in December 2018. After the dea

After Pastor Roger passed from this life to be with the Lord, Roger's son, Brad Hyatt, was set forth as a Lay Minister in December 2018. After the death of Roger's wife, Carol, Brad resigned as Lay Minister and the church closed.
In 2024, building on their foundation, the church was
positioned for transition and changed the name to Maranatha Church of God of Prophecy; Rev. Terry Reamsnyder was elected as pastor.
We are excited to see how God will use us as we move forward to reach our community and beyond to develop disciples for Christ.

As followers of Jesus Christ, seeking to conform our lives and beliefs to the Word of God, our mission is to participate in calling and equipping people "To Know Christ and to Make Him Known: united in a worshipping, teaching, evangelistic, mission minded community to the end that the North Georgia Mountain Area hears and sees the Good News to the Glory of God!

We sing the Old Gospel Hymns, have a time of prayer, have special music followed by an inspiring Message from
